The Marcus Family Law Center, PLC is well-known and respected as California's premier Family Law firm, covering all areas of Family Law as well as Juvenile Dependency and Landlord/Tenant law. From its two main offices in San Diego and Imperial Counties, the firm has handled matters in counties throughout the state as well as federal, interstate, and international matters. Close up photograph of a gavel The firm was founded in 1974 in Imperial County, California as a general practice by David E. Marcus (1942-1993). As the years passed, the law office increased its emphasis in Family Law, ultimately serving more clients in that area than all other Imperial County law offices combined. In 1991, David Marcus was joined by his son, Ethan J. Marcus, who took over management in 1993 and expanded the firm's practice to San Diego County. The firm grew to employ a number of attorneys and dozens of support personnel, and in 2004, the Marcus Family Law Center formally opened it's second location in Scripps Ranch (San Diego). In 2008, the firm expanded to Riverside county and opened the Hemet office.

Despite its proud stature, the firm's mission is simple. Justice.

For decades, the Marcus Family Law Center, PLC has been closely involved in helping standardize the practice of Family Law. In Imperial County, the firm has a decades-long history of being directly involved in the re-writing of the Local Rules. Now, with the opening of its Scripps Ranch office, the Marcus Family Law Center, PLC is challenging the system in San Diego County. Through tenacious adherence to the law, and zealous representation of the firm's clients, the Marcus Family Law Center, PLC is again re-writing the way that Family Law is practiced, seeking to make it so everyone can receive fair and consistent treatment under the law in Family Court.
