The firm was founded in 1974 in Imperial County, California as a general practice by David E. Marcus (1942-1993). As the years passed, the law office became the go-to firm for Family Law in Imperial County, serving more clients than all other Imperial County law offices combined.

In 1991, David Marcus was joined by his son, Ethan J. Marcus, who took over management in 1993. The firm grew to employ several attorneys and dozens of support personnel, and in 2004, the Marcus Family Law Center formally opened it’s second location in Scripps Ranch (San Diego). In 2008, the firm expanded to Riverside county and opened the Hemet office. In 2009, an office was opened downtown across the street from the Family Law Courthouse.

For decades, the aim of Marcus Family Law Center, PLC has been to reshape the judicial system in its own image: Streamlined. Affordable. Fair.
